Good sized rub

Posting this for superglide. Nice rub found on a good sized tree.

almost looks like claw marks, be cool to have a game cam near by to see whats going on. make a mock scrape and set a cam up and see what happens

I see that now to. I believe this is near central IN so i guess it could possibly be a bobcat.

Well.. It wasn't too far off the ground. I gotta get a new camera! I
Seen a bobcat for the first time ever last year just outside of Rochester...
So I guess it's possible! I would love to get that on a camera!!

that looks like a bear. Some of those look like they go too far up the tree. If thats a bobcat hes not a baby. Id carry a damn shotgun loaded with buckshot with me along with my rifle. I wouldnt want to run into what ever made that an hour before daylight on my way to a stand.

I am going to say the highest part of the damage is stomach to chest high. Am I close. I don't think that's a deer uf it is its one nasty son of a bitch.

I think it's one of those non exsistant black panthers.

07superglide 11-06-2012 05:26 PM

It didn't go up that high. I would have to say
No higher than belly high... 5'10

elmoughler 11-07-2012 03:00 AM

People do swear there are black panthers here in Indiana.....

Nato, thats a pretty nice rub, but this rub here is on a rub line i have been hunting and have seen a glimpse of a buck that might could be doing it, he is about 20"wide and give or take some, he is close to that tall and heavy horns, possibly a 10 or 11pt. Here's a pic i took last friday morning

elmoughler 11-07-2012 06:37 AM

Very nice Ohboy

07superglide 11-08-2012 05:39 AM

ohboy.... glad you got to see what might have done yours. I have only seen one buck in this area, and i dont think it was him

Ohboy 11-08-2012 07:00 AM

Yea i caught a quick glimpse as he was chasing a doe through the woods friday morning around 11. I will be back in the area hunting him again this sat. Hope to get him with my bow before we start running dogs next sat. If not hopefully someone at the club will get him. Hopefully you will see whats making them rubs around your way and have a crack at him. Good luck and post the kill pics

07superglide 11-08-2012 07:46 AM

Oh I will !! i'll be back at it sat morn.... but thanks to some people... not with out a hand gun too!!! lol

Night Crawler 11-08-2012 02:39 PM
