do deer like pumpkins?

So my whole family carved pumpkins and they want them thrown away now. So i was thinking, maybe deer will eat them. So, do deer like pumpkins?

deer have to stay on a diet, it takes them a couple weeks to change up food sources...so they wont take 2 week to switch for just a couple pumpkins, even if they did like em.

In short, yes they like pumpkins. Not sure how it will work in your case though.

deer by me love them,
every time i leave pumpkins out by the door,
they get torn apart by deer.
they will go on my deck to get to the pumpkins
so my answer would be yes

I've heard they do. If your state allows baiting then give it a try. As for me I wouldn't be able to put them out as it would be considered baiting.

tossed two out in my backyard a few days ago, within a day, had a nice 10 pointer gorging itself on them.
