Looking dor thw right one?

My wife wants to go and actually hunt with a shotgun she has short arms so probably need a modified or youth stock but was wondering what would be a good starter shotgun for her that wont break the bank.

My daughter tried an 870 youth 20 gauge on clay pigeons around age 12 and it fitted and worked well enough to get her one. Good luck, hope she scores on deer.

Mossberg 500 Bantam series has a few guns that you might want to look at. I know my 16 year old brother and 11 year old sister both have one that they shoot.

There are a couple of Mossberg 500 youth models that would be a good choice. I prefer the 500 to the 870, but I know not everyone does. If was to get another 870, it would be a used older one.

Another option is a full sized shotgun and then putting an adjustable stock on it. A hunting buddy bought an 870 a couple of years ago for his son, and put an tactical style adjustable stock on it so that he could adjust it to fit. His son loved that combo and killed quite a few deer with it.

Anything in WeMiNgToN! lol Just pickin', I had to do it!
I suggest a Thompson Center encore pro hunter. You can then have a custom stock built for her dimensions. The 20ga is sweet for deer and is very light! Then down the road you can just buy different barrels of any caliber. The .50cal muzzleloader is top notch too!
