Default jumped a monster walking out... now what?

Last night I was hunting a new spot where one other guy hunts maybe twice a year. I was walking past a salt lick and happened to look up with my light in hand. Standing at the salt lick was an absolute GIANT! maybe 20 yards in front of me. He ran off into the interior of the property but wasn't in too big of a hurry. I have not seen this buck before nor do i have any pictures of hi, so my thinking is he was cruising and stmbled on the salt lick. So what do I do now. Is there any chance that he will stay in the area now that he saw me or should I just write it down as a big foot encounter that won't happen until rut heats up? There is some really thick stuff behind where he was standing which is where he ran. I haven't hunted that particular area but have hunted pretty close. Do you think is it worth trying to hunt that general area or should I try to catch up with him else where?

Deer get bumped all the time. He ran a couple hundred yards and stopped and snuck off to a thick spot to hide. He didn't leave his home area. With rut coming, I predict you'll see him again, just not at that salt lick.

I wouldn't leave that area! Find a good stand location and put in as much time as you can. Especially with the rut about to happen!
