Hunting Boots

I am in the market for new hunting boots. I thinking about going with rubber boots but I need something that is warm. I will be hunting in northern WI this year. I also will need a pair that I can wear when I am hunting in warmer weather. Most of the rifle season I will be sitting. I have a pair of La Cross Ice Kings which are great but I need something not so bulky. I will be walking a long ways to the my stand this year and will sit most of the day. During bow season I will be sitting at all time of the day depending when I can get out.

Thanks
Schooter

I can't give them a review yet though....I've been out a few times but haven't needed the new boots.

Muck boots. They are lightweight, comfortable, and warm. I also wear them while bow hunting and down here it can be in the 90's in October.

Muck Woody Sport boots, they run around $150 but keep my feet warm with an extra pair of socks and my feet get cold easy. Scoot

The new under armour hurlocks are really nice low profile and warm rubber boots... Fit really nicely

never buying lacross again...to stiff. been 2 years, still too stiff. they dont form with my foot. and feel like a board going up the calf and dead ends at my heel.

Every person is different according to their size and conditioning. I am only 5'10" 170 lbs and I get cold easily. I have worn Lacross for yrs, but I get them free or discounted. My 150 gram Alpha Burleys, and my feet still get cold. That is using good socks. I have to put foot warmers in to be comfortable. That said, I use uninsulated Alpha Burleys in warm weather and love them. They will even get too hot, so I also have some Cabelas 9" Canvas boots, that are very comfortable, like wearing sneakers.

One of the boys working for us is 350lbs and only uses uninsulated boots in the coldest weather and is fine. I guess he insulates the boots. lol
