I think I know the answer but I wanted to ask you all the question to see what you think.
Scenario: Two cut corn fields, one located 150 yards Northeast and the other 150 yards Northwest of where I have been hunting. I set up my portable usually on the edge of the swamp(not a lot fo water at all just small creeks and really thick). There are a lot of mature oak trees all around me. I am going to hunt this spot in the morning to catch the deer heading back into their bedding area and maybe coming back out to get a snack. The wind is South, so blowing from the swamp out into the fields to my North. Now usually a South wind is good for this area in the evening because the deer are moving from the swamp out to the acorns or corn fields but I am second guessing myself because in the morning it will be blowing directly to them. Should I try another spot in the morning and just hit this in the evening when there is a South wind?

Sounds reasonable . . . Or, once the pre-rut starts, you may have bucks hanging out down wind of the bedding area so they can scent check for estrus does, so maybe set up a little further to the north to allow a buck to get between you and the bedding area without scenting you. Just an idea.

Good idea murdy, Just be careful to keep your scent down, a good day to hunt that stand in the morning would be if it is misting or sprinkling because it will help keep your scent pushed to the ground and not blowing back into the bedding area as much..
