I went out this morning and gave it a whirl... Got in early on some public land (the only land I can hunt right now until the rut when I make it back home. I am now located in West Central Wisconsin. I grunted a few times to start out the morning... I tried to rattle very hard and had no luck. Talked to 2 other guys that were out there and they didnt see anything either. Im to the point of hunting public Il try anything, at my family farm in southwest wisconsin we have plenty more deer and am more cautious of what I do. I looked around on my way out and did not find any scrapes or rubs. I scouted this piece of land and saw 10 doe 1 night scattered throughout a alph alpha field. Have not seen 1 deer since then. And I will only hunt stands that the wind allow. I cant wait to get home!
