If my guess is close then here is what I come up with. Lets just say he is 30 inches wide. 26 inch main beams. G2s 8 inches. G3s 6 inches. Mass 6 inch bases then 4 inches then 3 inches on each of the next 2 mass measurements and he would score 148. the weak tine length is why I belive this is close. Never the less GREAT DEER

I agree high 140's. Rather short tines, to score real high. It takes alot for an 8 to make 150.

I LOVE giant 8s!

They truly DONT score for crap, but that doesnt mean they are any less of a trophy. (giant 6s are even rarer & MORE hamstrung by the sheets) In fact if I have an option & there is a 150s 10 standing beside a 140s 8, I'm bustin the big 8 everytime. 150 10s & 12s are much more common than honest mid 140+ 8s!

It's always tough to tell mass in velvet but that ol boy sure looks to have some REAL mass! Spread, I'm gonna say 25" +/- 1" & I'd say he'll gross in the upper 140s, maybe even 150ish.

GREAT & unique trophy for sure,
HL

145" gross....25" wide............pictures can make a deer appear bigger or smaller depending on which way and how close the deer is. I think a case can be made for both with these pictures but like others have said an 8 pt needs to have exceptional everything to make 150 and this buck lacks the tine length. I would not pass him though.....HAHAHAH

That is impressive..I would say between 155 and 160..Any 8 point that scores over 150 is an exceptionally big deer if you ask me. Good pictures too!

Don't get caught up in the spread. Spread only accounts for 10% of the overall score. Awesome deer though I'd shoot him in a heartbeat

I don't get hung up on score. This deer is unique to me cause he is so wide. I have guessed him at 25" wide and 130-140", maybe a little higher. I've killed higher scoring deer but nothing wider than 22" so he is my #1 target buck this year based on width.

No no I was trying to say don't get hung up in the "spread" not the overall score. I'm a hunting guide and I try teaching all my clients about scoring and how to better field judge a deer before taking a shot. And alot of guys get hung up on how wide the buck is rather than tine/beam length and mass which add up more on paper than the spread width will. That's all I was getting at there. I deffinatly wasn't saying he wasn't a shooter or wasnt a awesome buck cause he deffinatly is!! I guide all types of guys/gals who look for different things when searching for a throphy. Some like wide some like high and tight racks with alot of mass and some like split tines and drops and anything else unusual. I also have clients looking for deer over a certain score. Everyone has their own view and opinion and in my profession I deal with it every day lol. It makes no difference to me. I get just as pumped up and happy when I see a 11 yr old boy kill his first buck scoring out at 120 as I do a veteran bow hunter stick a 198.

Hope you get him this year man good luck!
