2 Attachment(s)
Im just a gooden' from north Alabama so i can honestly say i dont think i have ever seen a Pope and Young quality deer on the hoof. That being said i checked my cam this weekend around Jackson Mississippi and I may be after my first one. What do you all think??? Does he make the cut?? Im pumped none the less.

I have two 8s from MO that just make the book. 1st was a near perfect 8, grossed 130.xx & netted 127.xx The 2nd wasn't as perfect but had alot of mass & grossed 131.xx & netted 125.xx I don't think that buck will net 125 but he should gross 130 I'd say with a fair amount of confidence. He has the tine length, not long beams but long enough & I'd estimate 18-18.5" inside. Always hard to tell mass in velvet, but he sure seems to have it for a deer that size! Honestly I don't think he's but a 3yr old, but if it's the biggest deer you've ever seen alive muchless killed then I'd tell you to "CUT HIM JACK!" :s4:
Now about that jacked up 3pt "thingie" with him in the 1st pic, he needs to be gone with yesterdays trash!!! :eek2: HL |
yep that looks like he could make it he's real close ,hope you get him ......

I agree with you Hatchie, I aged him at 3 1/2 too. But he is a public land deer and this is my last season hunting in Mississippi since Im a senior in college out here. So i know this is kinda selfish of me but im not to concerned with the management of that property too terribly much haha

he will gross around 130-135 but he is not an 8 point he is a typical framed 9 point and he most likly wont net p&y

I'd say he's P&Y yes.
