Default How Old Do You Think He Is?

Got this buck on the cam in upstate PA. He's got a typical 8 frame with the exception of the brow tines on one side. There are two and both kind of out of place. His body looks pretty big but he doesn't seem to have an old looking face. Plus, a skinny neck. But that may be because it's summer and not the rut.

I'd say he's at least going on 3 1/2. That neck will be a lot bigger come fall!

There is no doubt in my mind that he is a pretty big buck.. He will only look bigger during the rut.. Good luck getting him and hopefully during the early part of the season before he can gun any wieght off him,,

Yeah, I can see 3.5yo. He should look really big when he's in full rut. This is a new area a couple of us have been exploring. This is the first buck that's showed on camera so far. Good start.

More like 4 to 4.5 years old I'm thinking. Check out his chest and stomach. Also his antlers.

I 'd say at least 3 1/2 and probably 4 1/2 with a nice, heavy body!

Should be interesting to see what he looks like rutted out. Hope he sticks around and doesn't roam off.

PA bucks definitely look bigger than our bucks down south, but I would still say 4.5 years old based on his posture, chest, and build.

Yeah, the bucks up north are a little stockier than southern bucks. As you get up into Maine, they're even fatter. It has something to do with not having to drag heavy deer in the southern heat
