Water hole ???

Was wandering if anyone builds a water hole or watering station for their deer in the summer ? I aM thinking on putting out a 100gal sealed tank with a hose the goes to a water pan that will have a float valve on it so when the water level goes down new clean water comes in.My big hang up is that i dont want to do more harm than good by creating a place for EHD to start ??? What do you all think .THANKS !!!!!

The midge flies use stagnate water to breed in so I don't think the water station would hurt. They have to drink somewhere so the threat will be there anyway so another clean fresh source may help more than hurt.

I would make one myself if my spot was easier to get to.

That should be fine as long as your tank is sealed and your water pan isn't more than a gallon or two. If the animals are using it the water will be fine. I would clean the water pan out though each time you go and check it. Also check your state laws some places might consider that baiting if it is illegal their
