Yep, JAck, that was the Weatherby' s first buck. You have a good memory. I got him on YOUR mountain and Dave Sorber stuffed him.

I' m shocked you got him back so soon,my brother in-law is still waiting for a red stag that he had over a year...[:o]
Let me know next time you come to visit my " Mt" and we can meet someplace...:D

Yeah Jack, I know what you mean. I gave a buck to my taxadermist last December and I don' t expect him to be back until this December. A friend of mine killed one at the same time I did, and he got his back two months ago. It all depends on the taxadermist' s work load... I' m counting the days!

Hey Scott,

Just curious- what pose is your deer? Is it semi-upright?

Jim

Jimbo - Sorry, I can' t remember exactly what the pose was. I think we went through a bunch of choices and picked the one that was best for the place on the wall where he was to stay. He' s now up at hunting camp about 3 feet to the left and 2 feet above another 8-pointer. PAJack - the buck I shot in 2000 came back in mid-June. Sorber must like me or something. Then again, we call and check in occasionally. Maybe that helps.
