I like my Marlin, Glennfield model 30-30 for the stuff I hunt in up here. It has most deffinately brought quite a few deer home for me over the years..

30-30 would be my favorite. Sold my Marling 336C quite awhile back. That was a dumb move.

My '94 in 30-30 with open sights, but I don't have to shoot one more than 50 yards.

Uncle Nicky 06-15-2012 01:18 AM

.358 Winchester, but these shells keep getting more expensive & difficult to find.

HDMontana 06-16-2012 07:19 AM

I have had fun with a 30-30

Marlin 336 ...35 Remington

Jenks 06-17-2012 05:45 AM

An old Win. 94 carbine in 30-30 is my only experience with a lever, it has Lyman peep sights. The Marlin 336 seems like a fine rifle, altho heavier. I almost bought a Marlin 95? in 44 mag. years ago, it seemed like a nice little rifle. I use a scoped bolt action 30-06 on longer shots(over 100 yds).

Marlin 336 35 Remington. Big thump.

thelukai1100 06-19-2012 06:36 PM

my order
35 Remington
Marlin 336 .35 rem
Remington 760 .35 rem (pump gun)
32-40
Winchester 1894 saddle ring carbine 32-40
30-30
Winchester 94 might be higher on my list if it didn't jam.
