Default Would this hurt my deer mount?

I have a screened in patio at my house, and i was wondering if i hung a mount out there if it would be ok. The mount will be about 12 feet off the ground, so im not afraid of anything getting at it.

But im afraid the changing weather conditions will affect it.
I live in ky and the temperatures range from 0 Degrees in the winter to 100 Degrees in the summer.

Would it be ok to put a mount out there, or would it damage the mount?

I wouldn't put a valued mount in an area like that will such low and high temperature extremes. That would probably be where having a European mount would be nice.

The nose may crack with the temp swings, but insects can get to it easier. I would keep it in doors if it was mine.

I would also worry about the humidity affecting it.

If the Sun can get to it then it will also do some serious fadeing also!If You have a lot invested in it I wouldn't expose it to the elements/weather for very long!

Not sure if this will help, but I have several mounts in my shed, some have been there for more than a few years, Now!! these are inside but are subject to extreme weather swings, from well below zero to highs of 100, Humidity probly isn't as high as yours but it gets pretty high & although I don't really check on them, they look fine to me, I think direct sunlight might be a problem. Good Luck, Doc

thanks for the advice everyone... i think ill go ahead and leave them inside... it seems like humidity would ruin them, and since it get extremely humid here, i don't think i want to chance it... they will be staying inside where they belong
