Going with the flow
As a retiree, I really go with the flow. Use forums as intelligence gathering, as what's selected for hunting, doesn't mean I'll use it.
Notice the poll on baiting. Notice it; personally won't use bait. As retired, I have no interest in becoming a farmer and planting crops to attract deer. In fact, since I now only hunt public land, I have no interest in becoming a stevedore, a hauler of 40LB. bags of corn to any woodlands site. At my age, I'll only think about getting my carcass and the hunting equipment into the woods. Trip will be for scouting and hunting only.
If bait really worked, and got legally used on public land, as retired, and hunting during the week, there would be at least five in seven days, the working bait user, wouldn't be around to harvest a deer.
If it gets legal for a stevedore to bait on public land, and it worked, I'd just have to live with it, on the days they're not hunting.
