Lyme Disease Documentary "Under Our Skin"

Has anyone seen the Documentary "Under Our Skin" about Lyme Disease? It can be watched free at www.hulu.com or purchased at www.underourskin.com.

This film is certainly an eye opener... Incredibly informative but scarey at the same time. Lyme is becoming an epidemic in certain area's of the USA yet you don't here much about it.

I have NEVER seen the tick's as bad as this Fall & Winter in PA. So many people are getting sick you have to wonder what exactly is going on. I don't ever remember even seeing a Tick 20 year's ago let alone so many people having them attached and having them removed.

I think anyone that spend's time in the Wood's really need's to see this it could save your life.

Defender,
I have not seen that specific footage concerning Lyme, however, here in Loudoun County, Virginia where I live the county has made great efforts to let folks know the severity of the disease. But, recently I read that there are other tick-borne diseases that are just as bad as Lyme. I realize that ticks have always carried some kind of "kooties," but one of these links suggests that there is a new disease up in Minnesota.

never seen it but my mom died of a tick born disease. doctors said it was lyme but really had no idea how to treat it it. with all people being in the outdoors tick borne diseases are going to be on the rise and hopefully doctors will start learning more and more about it. and Defender i live in PA to and up north in allegheny national forest this year the ticks were just crazy.

I've been aware for some forty years

And I use to hunt in PA, when they didn't have the problem. The warmer weather over a decade or so didn't help.

I still remember reading about Lyme, Conn. They had a deer reserve and the non hunting neighbors wanted no hunting of deer. Then they got the Lyme Diseases, named in their honor.
After that, the non-hunting neighbors wanted all the deer wiped out. That article still is implanted in my memory.
