Ohio Hunting
 

Considering a trip to Ohio for whitetail, maybe 2012 or 2013. I have family that lives near Cincinnati but they are not hunters, so they can't give me much info. Is there any decent public land near this area? I hunt in VA with a black powder rifle, bow, rifle, and shotgun so any season would be considered.

I live in the Cincinnati area....there is East Fork State Park and Stonelick State Park....both are on the east side of Cincy, and offer pretty good public land...or better yet, see if your family knows of anyone who might let yo hunt on their property...good luck!!

I'm in a similar situation but, I might make it to Ohio to hunt whitetails this year. I found this deal with a big hunting ranch, they have fair chase and high fence. Any one have a recommendation on this outfitter?

I was going to say the same thing... go to WWW.WildOhio.com and you can download maps of public hunting grounds in the area. I hunt East Fork and have for the past 24 years andI have a special bond with that place and have taken numerous deer from there. The 11 pointer pictured by my name is from East Fork.
