I live in in dillon co. south carolina. I am finding that the second round is happening my way. The moon was late and those does that didn't come in the first round are now ready. Bucks are back to working scrapes again. This cold front this week should be a big help but you can't get em if your not there.

good way to tell is when the leaves have stopped falling its pretty much over....but each deer is different some will hold out longer than others. Dont stress the rut just do your best to hunt. Bucks can be killed all the time...yes it changes the patterns , however just being out there is the only way to really tell....Hope this helps!

Default Not to avoid but...

When the last breedable Doe has been bred.

In CT/Northeast, that may be as early as 2nd week of December or January dependant on hunting pressure. Later in warmer climates.

Hope it helps.
