Muzzledloader hunting

I have never hunted with a muzzleloader, however I have shot them. I was unsuccessful with my bow in Ohio this year, so I plan on returning with a muzzleloader. Anybody have any suggestions on a nice begginer muzzleloader? And any places that are good hunting during muzzleloader season? I hunted state land with my bow, but there just isn't a lot of food where I have been.

Why don't you post over in the Blackpowder section???

Tons of option out there for sure but the T/C line have always been my favs and the highest quality and most consistent accuracy.

You're looking for affordability so something like a Triumph may be a better option than a most expensive Enocore series. However, I would like to mention that a top shelp muzzleloader like an Encore will last forever!

Good luck and good shootin'

Cornfed- thanks for the info, I was leaning towards a encore due to the fact I also want a nice 12 gauge.

Hawkeye_ because I am going to go hunting for whitetail deer. thats why.
