I know the feeling you got. I have been there and there is nothing like it. Just a shame the rifle road hunters do not get to experience the same. Keep hunting and my respect goes out to you as a bowhunter and a military personnel.

Fantastic story, felt like I was right there with you, ( helps that I had a similar experience while elk hunting this year, of course it was a deer no an elk.)

The story rings so true to me. The feelings are the same as when , as a kid we would play hide and seek. when ever I would hide and the seeker got soooo close I would almost wet my pants with anticipation. Now that i'm an adult it's not that severe but it's still BETTER THAN DRUGS !!
Also I keep having buzzards try to land
on me !! They have gone to the next closest limb and try to figure me out. I've had them hiss so close i could feel it.
