Is he a shooter?
1 Attachment(s)
He appears to be a mature deer. His rack isn't the nicest, but he has a monster body for around here and he would definitely be my biggest buck to date. I'm afraid that I might not see him again if I pass him up, because this is a large piece of property.

i'd put him in the freezer
|
Having fun hunting him? Then he's a shooter.
It a challenge? Then he's a shooter. You eat venison ???? Then he's a shooter. You a trophy guy, then he ain't. That simple. |
He's at least a 3.5 yr old, shooter most anywhere.

Definitions:
Shooter(noun), A deer that fits in your freezer. Trophy(noun), A deer that fits on your wall and in your freezer. |
Whether he's a shooter or not depends on you. I've hunted places (private farms) where we pass them up like that and other places (public hunting areas) where we'd shoot them. If I was hunting in South Georgia, I'd say he's a shooter.

If you would be happy with shooting him then yes. I would shoot him.. thanks for posting
|
He is definitely a mature deer. So I would take him out at that age in many places he would be considered a cull because of his age but lack of massive horns. On public land he has horns and is mature. So I would shoot him if the chance was presented to me on private or public land.

If he gives me a shot,a shooter he would be. A Buck that size would be twice as big as the only one I have ever shot. A shooter, you bet.
|
he's old enough to have better horns. Time to make him table fair.
he's a stud, just not a star |
I would take him out.
|
You've named him "Stud". It's a no brainer. He's your shooter. Would be mine as well. Good luck and go get him.
|
In my area no, yours maybe. Do what your gut tells you
|
Don't use someone else's standards on what makes him a shooter. If you'd be proud to take him, he's a shooter IMO. That's the only standard that counts.
