congrats or the deer buddy. i hit my buck in almost the same spot you did except about 2 1/2 inches lower. how far did she go? mine went 25 yards laid down got up went another 60 yards bedded down again. i went in 13hrs later bumped him backed out and found him the day after about 300yds away.

Way to go! Did you hunt from a ground blind or have you rigged a way to get into an elevated platform?

Michlw39 10-21-2011 04:15 AM

Way to go! That's a fine shot and some fine eating there :party0005:

70 yrds or so...bedded once and there she laid dead...got tip of lung...lower shot and there is no lung there...lucky!!!

and modified groundblind (so whole side opens for wheelchair access)

after groundblind huntintg...I wouldn't go to treestand if I could....on ground and at eye level with them....much more exciting!

Nice doe! (And that's a pretty tight wheelchair you got there.)

the blur 10-21-2011 06:27 AM

How does that chair get around in the woods ? or do you 4x4 out to your blind?

Man that is awesome to see that you are finding ways to go out and get it done. It is always awesome to see a guy in a wheelchair make up his mind that he is going to get out there and get it done and not use it as an excuse not to go out and feel sorry for themselves. You are high on my hand shake list for your determination to get out and get it done. I salute you.

Nice, bow from a wheelchair. Good to see that shot took her down, Ill make a mental note of that. The ground is fun hunting for sure.

WIbuckchaser 10-25-2011 03:26 PM

Bocajnala 10-25-2011 07:35 PM

Nice job farmdude! Always love seeing your posts. Might have had a little luck on the shot, it looks pretty far forward, but you got her and that's all that matters!
