hahahaha, thats intense. I don't know what I'd even think if that happened to me.

NewbHunter 10-17-2011 06:53 PM

Wow that is crazy! Lmao. Imagine trying to get in your stand at 5a.m haha

Funny. Send it to the stand manufacturer.

I once shot at a bear with my muzzleloader. The shot was deflected by a branch about 6 inches from the muzzle, but the startled bear ran right to the base of my tree and started climbing. He then decided to run up the mountain. After that, I noticed some claw marks on the tree's branches, so I knew this was a tree the bear had climbed before. Later in the season my padded seat on the stand was ripped off. Found it on a deer trail all chewed up.

Guess I shoulda stated this earier, this is not my set. This was sent to me from a co worker. THose look like Aspen or Alder trees so It's up north somewhere, but not in NC

That would not be a pretty sight trying to sneak in that stand at 5AM though. I would die, whether it be from jumping outa the tree or being mauled by the bear.

Side note: How many shine a light in your stand before you climb up????????????????????????. I do live in Bear country and never thought about it till now.

It would be really good if you were bear hunting.
You could say I got this bear from my stand litterly. :happy0157:
Crazzy.

i have actually seen many pics like this, not that uncommon at all. i think the bears either see..or smell the "hunter" in the stand...maybe they are imitating us, or just their curiosity. maybe its the padded seat...i wonder..if i left a roll of tp lol...

I think he is deer hunting the old fashion way, jumping on the prey! I wonder if he took into consideration his scent control before choosing an elevated positsion?
