Default Estimated peek RUT in Wisconsin 2011

I calculated academically that the peek whitetail rut in Southern part of Wisconsin should to be approximately Nov 10th. Now this number is hypothetical and completely reliant on factors that cannot be completely calculated especially 2 months before the date... I would like to know others calculations and/or opinions and how they came to their conclusion?

BTW, I used two books (one biological, one whitetail hunting), the farmer's almanac, a lunar calendar and a regular calendar. Obviously I wouldn't rule out hunting any day you have the chance out of principle, just like fishing... "any day is a good day!"

Nov 11, Veteran's Day, has always been one of the best days up here in N. WI.

If I could I would be in a tree from Halloween through gun season, then I know I'm not going to miss it. I have always had good luck the first week of Nov. if the weather is cool.

I'd bet it's one week later... just from past years.

Just like any other year. One best have there doe harvesting done by Halloween, because after that on any given day at any time it could happen. And if the temps are cool, even better. My rule of thumb....best be perched in a tree or blind in November....period.
