The best time in my area each year is the week before gun season. Gun season starts 11/12 this year. I have sat all times of the day an all day. this time of the year it can happen at any time. But I've noticed that during this time of the year the slow time is from about 1pm to 2:30 or so.

That is when deer typically are in their daytime core areas, (probably hiding during the hunting season).

If you pattern deer, you can fnd otu where their core area is at, dn oy can get nextto it to hunt them as they come out to feed in teh evening, or as they go back to it in the morning. You can even stalk them in the core area if you are really good at it. But, I'd save that for a last gasp effort.
