I would put him at 4 yrs old. He doesn't have a lot of sway, but does have some. His coat still has good color and he does look thin in the face. I have seen many good racked young bucks. Just a sign that you have some good genetics in the area. The Nov 2009 pic I would say he is 2 1/2 at that time. That would put him at 4 in your current pic.

Here is a pic of a 2 1/2 yr old I shot last yr. Not what I would normally shoot, but this one had 3 broken legs from being run over.

If you look at your 09' pic, the beams have no mass, or length, and the tines are spindly.

That deer is definitely 4.5 years old and possibly 5.5 years old. His belly is sagging, he has a slight sway back, his neck extends all the way to the brisket.

Everyone here is judging this deer like he should look in November when he's rutted up and has his winter coat growth. This picture is taken in the middle of summer.

Dude, maybe there is more than one buck in your woods, unless you see an unusual mark on the deer.

This is a summer picture folks. Look at the 2009 picture that was posted. This deer could be as old as farmdude is thinking. Deer look totally different between the seasons.

I have to agree. From the 2009 pic of him to the current one he really put on some mass on his main beams which bucks start to get at the 4.5-5.5yr mark. His brisket is already starting to sag and its summer. This deer has good genetics and is getting the proper nutrients enriched proteins. As far u catching him during daylight hours this is because bucks just like humans change there attitudes with age and u must not have pressured him last year. Deer naturally move in all different hours of the day when they feel safe in their seasonal home range.

Maybe you would get even more feedback if you wouldn't jump all over people that do give their honest opinion. I thought your first post was looking for opinions? Seems like you know the answer already in your mind and if thats the case then why ask what everyone else thinks? Just a thought
