This is a picture from bracken county kentucky, looks like a coyote what do you think

rtrujillo 07-18-2011 01:53 PM

It kind of looks like a coyote...

kyslayer 07-18-2011 02:00 PM

coyotes dont like corn though

Sheridan 07-18-2011 02:06 PM

Hard to say looking at that picture ?

Could be a bobcat also.

Not after the corn, after the critters that eat corn ! LOL

gonzo1029 07-18-2011 02:34 PM

Looks like a coyote. Agreed probably looking for the smaller game that frequents corn feeders.

kyslayer 07-18-2011 02:38 PM

only reason I even questioned it was a coyote was the arch in the back and how low to the ground it is

mortalcare 07-18-2011 05:02 PM

OK i know without a doubt the answer...i have seen a few myself, and they look ALOT like yotes.....grey fox.

kyslayer 07-18-2011 05:23 PM

what makes you think that

superstrutter 07-18-2011 07:51 PM

Pretty sure it's not a fox. Looks like a coyote. Coyotes and foxes will actually eat a little corn, but I'm sure the primary reason they hang around feeders along with bobcats and hawks is for the birds, squirrels, and rabbits.

Deepsouthdeerjunky 07-18-2011 09:24 PM

it seems a little tall and scraggly to be a fox. i deffinately think its a coyote.. i have gotten pics of them eating corn at my corn piles and have also had one under my tree before eating acorns. they are scavengers just as much as predators and will eat just about anything if they are stressed for food enough

HardwoodHunter 07-18-2011 09:27 PM

I think it's a yote, they're a lot smaller than some people may think. I never really knew how small they were til I saw one in the woods and thought it was a small dog haha

because grey foxes look alot like yotes, will eat corn, and this animal is too small to be a yote.it could be young.....but that wouldnt explain how short its hair is,how arched its back is,and how big its ears are.

halfbakedi420 07-19-2011 02:49 PM

pointed ears, short tail...bobcat fer sure....good color as well.

bigbulls 07-19-2011 07:22 PM

Looks like a spotted fawn to me.

i almost thought the same thing, but it would have to be a baby miniture fawn...the spots are that of a bobcat.

GTOHunter 07-20-2011 04:08 PM

Looks like a Coyote to me,they will come in and check out feeders, mineral licks and salt blocks too.In the first pic I can see a pointed ear sticking up....mow that grass down and next time we'll know for sure? ;)

timbercruiser 07-21-2011 04:01 AM

Dang coyote will eat anything, including corn.

kyslayer 07-23-2011 11:20 AM

actually mowed the grass down the day I got the pics... Who knows maybe will get some more pics

PY Antlers 07-23-2011 06:49 PM

Duck7604 07-24-2011 02:34 AM

There is no doubt that is the chupacabra. lol

swampbuster 07-24-2011 02:53 PM

Pretty sure its a coyote

huntbigb 07-24-2011 07:48 PM

Chupacabra for sure

kyboydbowhunter 07-25-2011 09:46 PM

its a fox I have seen them myself

PREDATE 07-26-2011 04:39 AM

It almost appears to have a bobbed tail(bobcat) but the shoulders have me thinking coyote! Our coyotes here in the northeast are a pretty good sized due to having been mixed with the red wolf! Corn may not be the main fair for predators but, I'm certain that it smells something mighty tasty! Yotes' will eat anything (except for me)!!!!
