Help me age this guy.
 

Hey guys This guy just showed up on my camera.
His gut, shoulders, hips, and over all body size is much larger then the others that I am getting on camera and they are decent ones.
The year on the pictures are wrong these are from 2011.
I will have to fix the date next time I go out.
I am thinking this guy is about 5 years old, what do you guys think ?

He has muscle seperation like a two and half year old(race horse look). BUT
he has a sagging belly and its early season which indicates he is older. I would
Say this buck is 31/2-4/12 yrs old.

I wouldn't think he is 5yrs old yet due to the lack of mass on his rack. Typically bucks start to put on good mass from 5yrs old and on with good nutrition and genetics. I would find out if he is a roamed or a homebody buck. If he is a homebody..take care of him for another 2yrs and shoot him when he is 61/2 he will prolly score into the 160's or higher with good nutrition n supplements u put out.

If ur thinkin...well it looks like he has alot of mass to me? Remember he is in velvet now which makes them look significantly larger. Once he polishes them bad boys off they will be smaller in dia.

I'd say maybe 3.5 but most likely 4.5. His neck and face are still pretty skinny and young looking.

i see your 5 and raise ya one er two more. minimum. he is an old dude and will die an old dude in the woods without ever seeing a bullet. he is a night owl, and it would take bending the law to catch this sucker. might be 10 er 15 y/o.
