Thanks for the head's up. Does this disease leave a tell-tale bull's eye like Lymes?

Lyme's disease, if left untreated, can be very disabling! Memory loss comparable to dementia, pain, anxiety, and more as listed at http://www.canlyme.com/patsymptoms.html I know a person that went through all this. Even though she is now living somewhat normally (getting almost daily treatment) after years of a living hell, she stated that her life will probably be shortened significantly due to all the damage done.

F****** ticks! gosh, they're so useless and urgh, boy they make me mad...haha

the scary thing is...i wouldnt even know.i would think it was just allergys or flu and just stay in bed and not wake up one day

I also have Lyme disease too. I found that there are so many different symptoms, and it affects everyone in different ways that doctors always have a hard time figuring out what is wrong with you. Most Lyme patients see an averge of 6 different doctors before getting an accurate diagnosis.

When i asked my specialist for a Lyme test he told me that my symptoms wouldn't be Lyme Disease. He had to eat crow when 4 days later he called me up and told me i was right, it was Lyme Disease.

Most doctors don't know how to treat it correctly either. They think 2 weeks of antibiotics will get rid of it. It takes much longer treatment times, and only if caught early.

I took 3 showers from the time I left the woods yesterday at noon till now. Shampooed my hair twice and found a tick in my hair this morning when I got to work. Stupid things.

I tried the same thing. There was a Lyme Specialist in Missouri that i went to. His approach was to use long term antibiotics to get rid of it. He would start you on one and if you felt better after 3 months you would stay on it or try another one. When you found the one that worked and made you fell better, you stayed on it for 6 months or more.

I never did find one that made me feel better so i stopped going after about the 4th one. Too far of a drive and too expensive. He did have alot of people that said his tactics work. Just not for me. Regular MD's consider doctors like that quacks and sometimes do whatever they can to get them shut down.

I think i had it for 12 years before going to him. Thats how long i had my very bad head and neck pain. I had some years that were worse than others. It may be in remission now because i haven't had any of those symptoms for quite a few years. Thank god. Alot of pepole are wheelchair ridden for the rest of their lives or die on the spot from heart problems. It affects everyone differently.

I put up my new box blind on our hunting land a few weeks ago and came out with five ticks on me. They're really bad this year in Wisconsin.
