I think my average cost was about $400 per head.. There are plenty of good taxidermists getting over $500 nowadays. Sure you can find guys for $300 but the quality is generally bad.

What did the smallest one score in there. Minus the one with a missing horn?

Congrats on some nice bucks!

Were they all killed by rifle, bow, shotgun ?!?

Have you had any officially registered into the WI Books ?

Dan,

That's a good pic brother. I have been following you for years now. I, like you, am a no-nonsense hunter. There is no try, only do or do not. It's good to see you're still putting them on the wall. Take care and be safe out there. I've gotta get back on your website. Last time I tried to get on, it was shut down.

Cost will vary from area to area. You get what you pay for. $350 is a cheap mount around here. I think the better guys charge $450 to $500. I am sure he gets the frequent customer discount. Also you have to figure 20 years ago it did not cost that much. Cost just goes up each year. Only one I have worth mounting I did not because I was a poor college student. I think I need to get me a cape and get that puppy on my wall.

Or you can go high end with a place like Rapalee Taxidermy (Va) which charges close to 750 for a whitetail mount. They are world class though.
