Default Spraying Paths

I live in NW Missouri where we have some great whitetail hunting. Each spring I do all my stand work and get ready for fall so that I can stay out and not muck up my spots. Each year by September the weeds are all grown over my paths to my stands. Usually about a month before I go in with a machete and clear it out.. This year I was going to put my cameras out and then take some Round up weed and grass killer and spray my paths to keep them clean. Do you guys think this will have any effect on the deer as far as driving them away. I can smell a small amount of odor but it does not stick around. Let me know if you have any advice.

my personal opinion,
less chemicals in the food chain,
the better,
rather cut the path with machete as you been doing,
or use a weed wacker,
rather have a tougher path thats chemical free,
also how long is this walk to the stand?

it depends on the stand. some just 25 yards but I have a couple that are about 100 yards into the woods.

would you just toss out salt like you would grass seed, meaning does it need to be very thick?

I try to spray my foodplots in July or August and the deer don't seem to be affected.
