I use to ride on the "premium" bandwagon for hunting bullets but have since come to my senses. I see no reason what so ever to use an all copper bullet that costs 2 - 3 times as much as the lead counter part. The animal isn't going to be any more dead just because you spent more money on the bullets.

I think they are a hoax at 3 times the price. Example: A box of 100 gr 243 bullets weigh 1 pound. A pound of lead is maybe 50 cents. A pound of copper is 3.00 . It takes no more to make a copper bullet than a lead bullet except a little higher temps. Why are they not only 3 bucks a box more.

The only experience I have with solid copper bullets is the Barnes expander MZ muzzleloading bullets. I have shot about a dozen deer with them and all done a very good job. Sometime in the future copper might be all that we can buy, hope not though.
