A wonderful story with a happy ending about a very exceptional young man for sure. Being a wrestler it does not surprise me that he has a toughness about him and a can do spirit. I could'nt pray for a better Buck than he got and I share in his excitement and success. Two thumbs up for the young man!

I am always happy for any hunter that is able to shoot a nice deer, but IMHO he isn't blind. He was able to see a deer at 122 yards thru a scope well enough to shoot it and to me that isn't blind. Great that he managed the shot with his disabilities, but don't call him blind. Maybe he has 50% or 30% vision, but not blind. Another nit-picky thing, I don't know of any company that makes a .270 in 180 grains.

The kid is legally blind. He cannot see squat unless it is right in front of his face without the aid of extreme magnification (i.e. there are no "glasses" the kid can wear to correct his vision). The kid cannot go into the woods by himself and hunt. He would not be able to see a deer 15 feet away. He basically had to have the gun pointed for him in order to find that deer in the scope.

Blind
1 - a (1) : sightless (2) : having less than 1⁄10 of normal vision in the more efficient eye when refractive defects are fully corrected by lenses
