Fusion Lite

anybody try the fusion LITE in .30-06 ?

The Remmington low recoil wouldn't cycle my remington .30-06. Maybe the Fusion Lite's will?
$30 experiment.

Its stated on the box of Remington "Managed Recoil" Shells that it *May not operate all recoil or gas operated firearms! So You need to use a Single shot or Bolt-action Rifle if You use them. Not sure about the Fusion Lite shells?

yes, it does say that. They operate my Browning BAR, just not my Remmington 7400

The remmington managed recoil won't cycle throguh my Browning Bar Long Trac .30-.06.
So i sucked it up and went back to the straight shootin Hornady's

I have had mixed results with the remmington managed recoil ammo.
.30-06 will not cycle my remmington.
7mm-08 does cycle my BAR. had 2 shots where it did not pickup the next round from the magazine, but it was fully ejecting the empty casing. The rifle still isn't broken in or cleaned.

so I will try the fusion lite in my .30-06

I wouldn't think the recoil of a 30/06 would warrent managed recoil ammo, am I missing something? if it is a problem get a .270 jmop Doc

There is always at least one person that interjects "low recoil ammo is not necessary" when ever discussing this. amazes me. Yes your missing something. They even make it for the 7mm-08. The difference in really noticeable.

Cabella's can't even keep the stuff in stock. I have to order 10 boxes at a time, then it's back ordered for months, then I finally get it. last week they had NO managed recoil center fire rifle ammo in stock.

Go take a hammer and pound your shoulder, you seem to like it.

Didn't mean to get you upset, but you say it will not cycle in your Remington, so whats the point, get ammo that will. or a gun that more suits your style. I understand there are a lot of people who are affected by the recoil of a 30-06, I started my kids on 243's one still shots one. (and he shoots it well). the 30-06 platform provides for a lot of options, I would investigate these before going to watered down ammo. "Low recoil Ammo is not only not necessary" "It's stupid" Doc

Do they make a "Low impact" hammer?

the blur 02-09-2011 05:13 AM

If you read above, the managed recoil ammo does indeed cycle my 7mm-08 Browning BAR.

Taking this further, ..back to my .30-06. The fusion lite has a 170g bullet, while the remmington MR bullet is much much lighter. So I am hopeful the fusion lite ammo with the heavy bullet will cycle it.

we'll see when the ammo comes in. It's an experiment until I find the right ammo, for the right gun.

Here is what you wrote::

"The Ammo will not cycle in your Remington 30-06"
"7mm-08 will cycle but you had 2 shots where it didn't pickup the next round"

Now! if this is your choice of Ammo, go for it, I could care less, but it would really make me wonder as to who should be "tapped with a hammer". if it won't work under controlled conditions how much confidence are you going to have in the field? Doc
