Antler loss

Got a picture this mornin of a deer that I think is a buck. No antlers though. If its a doe she hasnt been there all year that I know of. I think its possible with the colder than normal weather.

Yep, saw a buck missing one side Monday morning and have had guys tell me they've shot antler-less bucks thinking they were does.

I've seen them shed in early December and as late as late February. Nothing to do with temps, it's testosterone levels.

Antlers have been dropping here for the past couple of weeks. If you do shoot a buck, be careful holding it up by the antlers for pictures. I saw a hunting show a while back where some kid did this and both antlers came off and struck him in the face, almost in the eye.

Saw a buck pushin 200 pounds that had dropped both of its antlers in Michigan just a week ago.

I shot a 200#+ shed buck last day of the season last year thinking it was a doe. Mine was mortally wounded by some @$$ hole who had shot him at a long range with #4 buck. Lower jaw broken and 5 other pellets in him including one in the eye. No fat. He was and still is the biggest deer I have taken by size.

I can't stand people who hunt like that
