Are Pro hunter's in State Record Books?
I'm trying to figure out 100% Fair Chase Hunters, and whether or not some "Pro Hunters" are in state record books.
I looked online the other day at Iowa State record books, and I'm coming up short for Lee Lakosky, and Tiffany Lakosky. I know they shot pretty amazing deer and wondered why they haven't been added to state record books? Most of us realize that Iowa has MANY amazing white-tails harvested year after year, and I'm just wondering why there names aren't added to the books... You hear many stories all over the net about hunting in pens, etc... Now, I'm just a little curious... Anyone know...? |
many could care less about registering an animal to get it listed in a BC book, etc...
I've seen chuck adams in the record books and some of the eastmans |
how ya think they became pro's?

Thats cause most of there deer were shot behind a high fence... Its like Mr. Whitetail Larry Wiesham (spelling?) it seems like all his shows lately are on highfence farms, its the only way he can keep walking around and just bumping into 200 inch deer standing there staring at him. Granted at least he admits it. However i met a guide once in wyoming that said he knows for a fact that they shoot a lot behind high and low fence, he even told me to try and find Lee and Tiffany in the books, cause he said i wouldnt. He was right. Some of these quote on quote pros would be lost if it wasnt for there farms and there money. Now Chuck Adams, thats a pro...He was a pro before it was cool to be a pro.

In my mind . . .
there's been too much trophy hunting emphasis, over the last twenty years.
It's getting down to absolute management, only the few can enjoy, and hoards of "hunters" watching the professional's hunting show on cable/satellite television. |
