Anyone use the Hornady leverevolution ammo
 

Wondering who used the Hornady leverevolution ammo in 30-30 or .35 Rem on deer, this past year.
Saw the Hornady round, and the Hodgdon leverevolution powder, both will be available in 2011, for reloaders.

Wouldn't mind extending the life of the old .35 Rem. for some eastern hunting.

Took a big doe this year with the 160gr FTX ammo with my 336. In my opinion it's great ammo and I'd trust it out to 200 yards, maybe further.

If I hadn't been on the shelf this year, I would have tried it. Can't wait to try it out at the range this spring.

I expect to travel this coming year in the east, and use the Marlin lever action either as the backup/main rifle. Now it'll be the main one for a deer, with that leverevolution.
Now I see I'll also have a chance to get in some early reloading fun, as I see Hodgdon is coming out with the powder to match the Hornady leverevolution bullets.

Looks like it'll save me from buying another extra rifle.

Ive only used the lever rev. for .444 marlin. I liked the performance.

Used it in factory leverevolution form and i have hand loaded the Hornady FTX.
They have performed great both on deer and paper out of my Marlin 30-30

They are very accurate in my tc single shot. haven't had the chance to get anything leaking with them yet.

I like em in my 336 30-30. Hit the same place at 100yds as my 170gr powerpoints. Last year I took a spike with them at 45 yards he droped in his tracks so no complaints on performance

All I use in my .444......

What grain do you use?

Love the factory loaded stuff in my 336 30-30. Shoots groups half the size of any of the other factory loads and when sighted in 2.5" high at 100 yards its only 3" low at 200 yards.
