Big 172 1/2" Iowa 12 Pointer my grandpa shot
 

We got 4 bucks (decent 10 and 8) and a couple small ones. Then the next one we got two does my grandpa shot a big 12 pointer that I saw earlier this year.

Scored him at 172 1/2.










He's such a lucky old man. Last year he shot a big 144" 10. 6 years ago he shot a big 156" and 8 years ago he shot another 172 inch buck that we have mounted in my house..

No matter how lucky he may be im still happy for him. He loves hunting and he is getting older so you never know how much longer he will be able to hunt.

Good to see someone in Iowa had a great first season shotgun. I am hearing a lot of poor harvest numbers from around my area, in regards to 140" plus bucks being taken.
