I get in the stand right before daylight and sit until 9 or 10 before i walk back to the house. I'll usually come back later and get in the stand 2 or 3 hours before dark and sit until dark.

I will normally sit all day. All though this year i'v not been able to do that, which results in 0 deer this year. I normally fill my tags every year.

i agree with hog runner. i have heard of a lot of guys shooting dandys around noon. I would sit as long as i can or until you get too cold and start moving around too much.

two of my best deer were shot at 11:45 and 12:00 during rifle season. This year the buck bedded 45 min. before daylight 40 yards next to me. He go up at 11:45 and gave me a shot. i hunt as long as the wife says i can some days all day other days only an hour.

Depends on time of season. Beginning of bow season, 1/2hr before light till noon. Then back out at 2p till dark. Gets hot here in So. Il then. Hard to sit from 2p till dark when its 90+ degrees, sometimes more. Rut, 1/2hr light till dark, about 5p. After rut, gun season, all day. Starting to get cold then, use ground blind and heater and over boot covers. Want to get heater blanket, can't get OL to come off $350 for one, YET!!!!! X-mas is coming!!!!! May sneak one in by UPS and say Santa sent it to me!!!!!!!!!

Depends on the season. Right now I try and be out as much as my schedule allows. Today I was out sun up till sundown. When I do that I pack a lunch, and move if I need to. I know I'm not gonna get one sitting on the couch, so more time in the woods the better.

During bow season this year, I hunted right behind my house. Slipped out in there in the morning for an hour before work, and if I was home in time, I'd get out there for a couple hours before dusk. For Muzzleloader and General firearms I have been out there all day...unless my buddy is hunting with me. Then I hunt a couple hours in the morning, meet him at the truck for lunch and he goes home....and I go back to the woods.

At night, till I can't see anymore. 30 min after sundown is legal shooting time but I can still watch past that and take notes. In the morning.....depends. I cheat and check my game camera....if they are clearing out by 8:00, I'll stay a little longer. I've been known to hang out all day as well.

The time of day he kills them varies but typically he kills them during the rut. He doesn't usually bow hunt and usually he gets 2 during the rut and saves a tag incase he sees a mounter during late season.
