thats been around for a while but it was an actual letter in a newspaper. sad, i know

Obviously the author of that newspaper line wouldn't score high on intelligence, but don't under estimate the PETA type groups. They are well funded and have a lot of lawyers working on their agendas.

Yep, they are relentless and not burdened by facts or common sense. The recent 2nd amendment ruling by the Supreme Court is just a speed bump as far as they are concerned. They won't rest until we're all living like the peasants in North Korea and surviving on grass soup.

:rant:/ rant off.

I had a liberal woman try to give me heck one time for killing animals. I asked her if she ate meat, and she said "yes." So I said, "You are just outsourcing your killing, paying someone to do the dirty work for you."

Nice! I'm going to steal that line from you, if ya don't mind!

Regarding the ad, that is so far beyond stupid that I don't believe it. I believe that it was an ad, but I think it was put in by someone wanting antis to look stupid. I mean, I think their point of view and supporting logic IS stupid beyond measure, but c'mon. I seriously have never met ANYONE that thinks meat just comes from the grocery store and that no animals are killed for it, etc.

I find many people are fine with hunting, really don't care one way or the other, but the anti's really just seem like there's no arguing with them.

I ran into one, who said, ya I've shot a gun, I've hunted...they think it's cruel, etc...they'd rather us just buy beef from large farming, or become vegetarians.

It's certainly an uphill fight.

Maybe if we got rid of the beef industry in America and the only way to get a burger was to shoot a free range buffalo anti's would see the point.

that's what I'm talking about....

these people justify the beef industry as being a good thing in place of hunting though...

they either want us all eating a cow from feed lots, or be a vegetarian.

it falls on deaf ears for the most part I think.

maybe we need videos of coyotes and wolves slowly killing deer and fawns to get the point across, and then a bang/flop rifle shot to compare the two. maybe during the superbowl...haha.

All the ones I know are vegans. One of the wife's niece's kids are so tiny from only eating veggies that the kid's teacher turned her in for abuse. I love family get togethers where I can talk to my bil's about hunting in front of them.

I'll let my signature speak for me :D

The anti's keep on chipping away. Recently I talked to a good friend that has been into running coyotes in big pens for years, has about 25 hounds of various ages. He has an 80 acre pen he trained puppies in. A couple of women with nothing better to do has had all coyote pens in Florida closed. He said it was rare they harmed a coyote, they had escape houses the coyotes could get in. Besides a coyote would cost about $200 each so you wouldn't want to harm one. I know running coyotes doesn't matter to most hunters, but any place they can stop any phase of hunting is a victory to them.
