In PA,you can kill a doe on any day as long as it' s a deer season-whether it' s archery,rifle,muzzleloader-and you have the proper tags.

That is a decision that needs to be made by the state wildlife biologist, it depends on the herd size and food supply with other variables.

In the region I hunt in MD, 2 of the first 3 deer taken with any weapon MUST be antlerless--hopefully does and not button bucks. In the next region over, unlimited does may be taken.
