Default Great 10 point last day of Ontario Gun season

Got this perfect 10 pointer last day of the season here in Ontario. Called him in with a Quaker Boy brawler grunt call. Rough green score of 165 with only 2-7/8" deductions. Said to myself, "Forgive me Lord for missing church today." and 3 seconds later this bruiser started thrashing the prickly ash bushes just 50 yrds away. Just came out of nowhere. I had perched myself and a knarly scrub oak about 15 up overlooking a shallow gully of 8 foot high prickly ash. This stuff is like barbed wire and dense. Not only that the place is so filled with boulders you can't get a 4 wheeler in so I had to work at getting this one out and in bear country to boot. It was all worth it. On the way out to get help I passed my late Father - in - law's tree stand and right next to it was a white cedar with a very large snowy owl perched in it. I walked right up to it and said, "Mike, if that's your spirit, thanks for pushing that great buck my way and praise the Lord !!!".

Nice buck! I don't claim to be overly religious but this year while hunting I decided it was lunch time. I laid all my food out, said a quick blessing, and just thought to myself, Lord, it sure would be nice to see some deer while eating lunch. I kid you not within 3 seconds I caught movement out of the corner of my eye and there was 2 does standing there about 30 yards away. I think he likes hunters! hahaha
