2010 has been a great year for Whitetails!

I have been very fortunate to put arrows through these two bucks this year in the Dakotas. The first buck, "Five-oh", was a spot and stalk 40 yard shot on October 30th scoring 139". The second buck, "Tank", was a spot and stalk/ambush 15 yard shot as he chased a doe on November 15th that scores 173 7/8"! I am still on cloud 999 after this last kill! He is a truely great buck that has everything that I wanted! Thanks for looking! |

I just want to say congrats to you on two great looking bucks.And i would have to say you were blessed .You must be a master at stalking deer to be able to do that .Again great job .

Nice job man! I agree 2010 has been great so far! 5 for me so far 3 HUGE does and 2 button heads. Seen deer everytime im out.

Thanks all! I am a spot & stalker to the bone. I prefer this method over any other method. I kill about 90% of my animals this way! Love it! A lot of factors come into play but patience is the biggest factor in my book by far when it comes to making a successful spot and stalk!  I was able to connect on this buck that I nicknamed "50 Cent" on the last weekend of the SD rifle season. He was a fighter that had a gouge in his cheek and was missing 6" of his G4. |

Here is my final buck for the 2010 season and some weight taken off my shoulders believe it or not! I was able to find this buck by concentrating on doe movement between bedding and feeding sources on public ground. Late season is a great time to find deer payig particular attention to good food sources. After watching the buck bed I was able to close the distance by walking the frozen river bottom and crawling to 93 yards before letting my TC Endeavor fill the air with a puff of smoke. The buck didn't even get out of his bed. The drag back to the truck was a welcome one! It has been a great year of hunting again in 2010!
