Nice buck and good luck to your wife. I just got my first deer this year and it was a beautiful doe, in Maine. The gun season comes to a close on NOV 27th and then I am going to hunt in NY, primarily for a buck. Good luck to everyone

Two of my clients took these on our semi-guided outfitting hunt in Illinois, one was taken by muzzleloader the other by shotgun

This is my fiancee's first deer with a gun. She has hunted bow for 8 years and decided to try out gun hunting. She didn't like shooting a shotgun because of the recoil so since we moved to an area that allows rifles I jumped on the opportunity and bought her a .243. This isn't a wall hanger but sure is a trophy.

On a side note, I think I was more excited than she was.
