Kansas Mine Land

we have a small group goin to mine land on the 17th of november. its our first time up here and not sure what we should key in on or what we should scout out to find us a big one. are there certain trees up there or around all the water they have or what. we are from south Louisiana and sure its different that what we hunt down here.

I hunt alot of reclaimed strip mines here in Pa.Its usually thick cover with lots of trails running everywhere.I hunt openings we also do drives to get them moveing.Tree stands are a good idea. Its probably not much different than louisiana anything that puts the advantage in your favor and is legal.
