I've used 3 50gr. pyrodex pellets and the powerbelt 295gr. hollow point bullet for 3 seasons. The 1st was a 10 point buck. He was all ruted up and charged in to my grunting through thick brush and busted out the brush at 12 ft. Scared the crap outta me. Shot him between the front legs and he dropped in his tracks.
The 2nd was another buck at 10 yards, perfect broadside, dropped in his tracks. The 3rd season didn't get one.
This really isn't enough time to judge this load. Even with great results, I've dropped down to 2 pellets and the same bullet after reading some of the comments on here. Don't know if it's alot of hating on this bullet and load of 3 pellets, or they're really true. I take everything with a grain of salt, just don't want to risk loosing a deer to a hot load.
But yeah just learn and practice your shooting at that range factoring in bullet drop and all that and ya get it in the boiler room and you'll be fine.

I have better luck with 80 or 90 grains of loose powder and about a 250 grain hollowpoint bullet. Get some different measurements of powder and a few different bullets and see which one shoots best. Another vote for visiting the blackpowder forum. Lots of great guys there that helped me a lot last year.

You should have plenty. Just practice at that range.

I have a CVA wolf break action I use 90 grains of pyrodex rs and a 295 grain powerbelt bullet. Never had any problems.

I own the Wolf. I use 80 grains of T7 and a .452, 300 grain XTP. I use to shoot a 240 grain XTP with 120 grains of T7. That combo killed deer, but often no pass throughs as the bullet would fall apart if it hit bone. I have a Sightron Sii 3x9x42 on it. This is a 295 grain powerbelt recovered from my 15 point buck last year. Hit the inside opposite shoulder. 90 grains of pyrodex rs at 50 yards. Stayed together really well.

Thanks everybody. Do yall think it'll be ok to sight it in at 75 yards cuz thats the longest range i have to shoot. Dead on or 1'' high or ? But the places i hunt shots can be up to 125-150 yrds.

I have my CVA sighted in at 3.5" high at 75 yds. With 100 grains of Triple 7 and a 230 gr. T/C sabot I can take a deer out to about 150 yds. without having to hold over. Your results should be fairly close to that also.

I sight mine in to be dead on at 50yd.s. Don't really have long shot oppurtunites [sp?] + I like to get close.
