Here are two bucks from last year that I'd like to catch up with this year. One for the rack, one for the massive body.
Plus my biggest bow kill. |
Barnes SWEET! How wide is that last buck? Everyone of them are PIG'S!

A couple of bucks I know I wouldn't mind running into during late muzzleloader. Not to mention the wife is still trying to get her bow tag filled.
The one I took was taken a little over a week ago, he was a high wind buck (35 mph+). The full story is in the Bowhunting Forum for anyone interested. He dressed at 245#, needless to say it took 3 of us to get him out of the woods, including a four-wheeler. |
The mounted buck was 23.5" outside when he was shot. My 4 and 6 year old kids were playing rough and knocked the rack off the shelf and broke the skull plate. As it is mounted now, the outside spread is 22.5".
I can't wait to see what the forked tine buck looks like this year. Hopefully we see him. I got trail cam pictures of him in February so I know he survived the season. I saw the fat 6-point last weekend. He's as fat as ever, but his rack is going downhill. The one side is no longer a fork, it's a big paddle. |
