Huting a certain spot

How long do you hunt one area back to back before you let it rest? I have a couple spots that I would like to make morning and evening hunts but didnt know if that was ok.

Opening week of bow season I hunted a stand and I didnt see anything, I then went back to that same stand early in the afternoon (3pm). I had a doe run underneath the stand and then a buck came in about 10 mins after the doe. Didn't get a shot at either but neither knew I was even there. I think the secret is not lvg ur scent and hunting the wind. As long as they (the deer) don't feel pressured then you'll be ok

I am a firm believer in staying put. I find a hot spot and I am there.

If you are limited to a few spots then be careful to not leave to much scent in those areas as has been said. Some controlled use of cover scents as you exit may help to mask your own. Last year I hunted 3 spots in my two areas to hunt and had good success alternating them every couple of hunts. If I had been ready and had hit the deer that passed through I would still have a lot of meat in the freezer. If your not geting busted and you have good movement in your spots I would be in them consistantly saving the best spot for your Buck and prefered weapon that you hope to take him with. This is what my Nephew taught me and he is a very successful hunter of 12 years now,his wall is full of deer mounts. The bottom line is a good spot will be productive sooner or later. Good Hunting

I spend a lot of time in the woods next to my house. It is around 20 acres but I only go into the few acres next to the field as the deer bedding area is further in. I hunt there from first of bow season to the end of late BP season. I shot 3 deer there last year and could have shot more.

I slip in, slip out and try not to disturb the area any more than I have to.
