If it was my stand, I would put in Plexiglass. At least it would hold up to bumps and bangs much better than regular glass A shatter resistant type may make a hole in your billfold. Don' t know the cost, but should be around the price of regular glass.

Eddie,
When I was working on mine, I came across 4 small storm windows that were dirt cheep. I got them at Home Depo for about $6.00 each. These slide very quiet and the screens are very quiet and easy to remove. I placed them in the blind with just a little framing. I have a little peace of camo net over the outside with a draw string to rase it up when needed.
