Rifle choices...
I use several rifles depending on where I am hunting...I currently hunt in several states (MI, WA and OR most years) all with handloads...
I'm also a lefty, so have limited options...
My favorites are:
Remington 700 BDL LH in .270 WIN with a 150g Nosler BLT (Mr. Reliable!) topped with a 3-9x40 Swift (I really love Swift Scopes)
Savage 99 in .308 WIN with 150g Nosler BLT for Deer and 165g Partitions for Elk (I've hunted with this guy for 20+ years and he's never let me down) topped with an older 4-12x50 Bushnell (Trophy series???)
Tikka T3 lite stainless in 270 WSM....my new first love loaded with 130g Nosler Accubonds and topped with a Nikon 3-9x40
Remington 700 BDL LH in 7mm Rem Mag loaded with 150g Nosler BLT's also topped with a 3-9x40 Swift....don't use it much since I got the 270 WSM
Browning BLR in .243 WIN loaded with 100g Nosler solid bases (which are no longer made...fortunately I bought 400+ rounds when I was in Bend years ago) and topped with an ooooooold 3-9x40 Leaupold VX III and mostly used for pronghorn hunts
If I could only keep one...boy it would be a toss up between the .270 WIN and the .308 WIN

I have a T/C Encore with both a .50 cal muzzleloader barrel and a .300 Mag barrel. I tend to prefer the .50 cal. I will do everything the other one will do at 200 yds or less and it's all I usually need. It's alot more fun too.
On occasion, I still bring out the .300 mag just for a change of pace.

Nothing wrong with that. It's my go to gun just about all the time.
It's my favorite tool that helps put food on the table.My gun isn't pretty to look at, but I don't care.It just kills and does so very very well.The rest, my pretty ones, collect dust.

Depends which day of the week for me. Our rifle season starts on a Monday.
Monday --Browning Medallion 270wsm. topped with Baush & Lomb E-4000 4x16x50. 140grn accubond reloads.
Tuesday--Browning hunter 243wssm topped with Bush. E-4200-2.5x10x40. 85grn Nos part. reloads
Weds--Encore 7mm-08..Bush. E-3200 3x9x40 150grn Nos BT's. reloads
Thursday(turkey day) Rem 788..6mm..Bush E 2.5x10x40. 90grn Nos BT's reloads.
Friday--Rem 700..308. Bush E.3x9x40. 165grn Fed Fusions
Sat--Weatherby 300wby...Leupold vxII 3x9x50 165grn Nos Bt's..reloads.(only gun left with leupold..sold them off every other gun..had issues..)
2nd week Ruger 96/44. 44mag autoloader...240grn Horn XTP reloads..we mainly do drives the 2nd week.
Taking a gun a day was about the only way I didnt have rifles just sit in the safe and never use them. Stinks I still have a bunch I really never use anymore, they just take up space yet I cannot bring myself to part with them.
If they are calling for a rainy day I always take my Encore...its SS and synthetic and is prob the easiest to clean/dry out in an evening.
